Maple Street Dance Space Class: Beginning African Dance Romy Keegan, Instructor. Come experience the excitement, joy and healing of African Dance in a warm and welcoming community setting complete with live drumming! This is a highly aerobic and energetic class that begins with a thorough warm-up, followed by the introduction of 3-5 beginning movements that are carefully broken down, before being put together and moved across the floor. We end class with a fun and playful volunteer solo circle where dancers cheer each other on and show off their best moves! Finally, before heading out for the rest of our evenings, we turn down the lights for a relaxing and grounding cool down. $12/class. Drop-in! No registration required. 5 class card available for $50.
