Abdoulaye learned to drum and dance at the feet of his family in Guinea. He studied traditional dances in Senegal and Gambia, and then began his own troupe, Allatantou Ballet. He has taught extensively in the United States, Canada, England, Iceland, Finland, Denmark, France, and Norway, for over two decades! Adboulaye says African dance is an experience for the body, the intellect and the feelings. It is spiritual medicine and happiness for the body.
