Maple Street Dance Space Instructor: Heidi Alina 255-0582 or 303-332-8816 African Drumming. Heidi Alina began her studies in rhythm, piano, and improvisation at the age of five, and is now distinguished as one of the few prominent female African drummers in the country. She has traveled to Zimbabwe and studied extensively with her primary teacher, Chris Berry, along with master drummers from all over Africa. Heidi is an engaging teacher with a unique ability to integrate Western classical knowledge with innovative teaching techniques and aspects of African culture and spirituality.
